just bought the comic book from bugis last night after simon reccommended to me... when i first saw it, i thought it looked kinda interesting... and i dare say its worth reading it... its in English so if any1 wana borrow it let me know... very nice, heartwarming...

The Story: When a mysterious alien force begins their annihilation of the human race, a young girl feels called to join the resistance. But the danger of an interstellar battle is not Mikako's greatest concern... for she has left behind the one young man she loves. And as Mikako pursues the Tarsians further into deep space, her only way to connect with Noboru is by cell-phone text messages. While Mikako risks her life to save mankind, Noboru waits. At first days, then months, then years for each new message that will let him know whether Mikako is still alive. And while she barely grows older in the timelessness of space, Noboru ages. How can the love of two young people, torn apart by war, survive? To what distance would you go...for your one true love?

Mikako Nagamine
Mikako was born in February of 2032 and is best friends with her classmate Noboru. She excels at both schoolwork and athletic activities, such as Kendo. At age 15, she was selected to join the U.N. Army’s investigation fleet to retaliate against the Tarsians—a mysterious alien race who launched a surprise attack on the Martian expeditionary force. She serves as a Tracer pilot aboard the battleship Lysithea, but would much rather be with Noboru back on Earth.

Noboru Terao
Noboru is Mikako’s classmate from Junior High and they are very close friends. It was Noboru's hope to attend the same High School as Mikako, and to get into the same clubs as she did, in order to be closer to her. When Mikako was called up to serve in the U.N. Army, Noboru waits patiently for her to return, but each E-mail is recieved with bated breath, since the distance between the two grows ever wider. It wasn't until after she had left that he realized how much he had cared for her.
